Sean Ralph is Curtin’s Injury Manager. An elite amateur ironman triathlete and long-distance runner, Sean managed the relaunch of the Curtin Staff Wellness Program in 2014. He strives to be a role model for staff who want to make a positive change toward their health and fitness.

Dr Caroline Fleay has been an active campaigner for the rights of asylum seekers and refugees in Australia over the past fifteen years. As Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Human Rights Education, Caroline teaches human rights and conducts research into the experiences of asylum seekers and refugees.

Kyra Bonney was the first Indigenous woman to win the WA Chamber of Minerals and Energy ‘Outstanding Woman in Resources’ Award (2014) for improving opportunities for Indigenous people in the resource sector. A Curtin alumnus, Kyra runs her own consultancy business, is the youngest member of the WA Government Aboriginal Lands Trust and is Deputy Chairperson of an Indigenous youth leadership program.

Associate Professor Dr Reena Tiwari is Head of the Department of Architecture and Interior Architecture at Curtin. Reena is passionate about places everyone can access and enjoy. She believes that involving students and local communities in public architecture can bring about change for the better.

Collaborations
Collaboration with MIT
SUTD and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) signed a collaboration agreement in January 2010, covering both education and research endeavours, which concluded in June 2017 and June 2021 respectively. Read more.
ZJU Collaboration
At SUTD, we hope to harness the best practices and values of the East and the West. When SUTD was established in 2009, this goal was realised through strategic partnerships with Zhejiang University (ZJU) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
SMU Collaboration
Our collaboration with the Singapore Management University (SMU) capitalises on the strengths of both universities. It brings together the best thinking and programmatic activities in technology, design and management, so as to address some of the world’s most significant research challenges.
