What to expect in 2022

UOW Students can attend the majority of their classes in-person in 2022 and enjoy everything UOW campus life offers. For students who prefer an online learning option or can’t be with us in person, we will continue offering the majority of courses online.

For students on campus, the Autumn semester will kick off with Campus Fest from 21-25 February. UOW has partnered with Yours & Owls to present free gigs by the likes of Montaigne, Ziggy Ramo and Touch Sensitive, alongside traditional O-Week activities.

COVID-safe Campus in 2022

As we look forward to welcoming our community back onto campuses, we will continue to follow COVID-safe principles to mitigate risks that the virus presents. For these principles to work effectively, we will be relying on the UOW Community to work with us by following the guidance.

The good news is that we are returning to campuses when our state’s population is highly vaccinated – 94% of all people aged 16 years and over have had a double dose of the vaccine.

Hear Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Theo Farrell speaks on UOW’s plans to reopen its campuses to new and current students on 21 February 2022 in the below video.
